Our Story
Free Steam Gift Cards started as a Discord channel where a small group of PC gamers shared screenshots of Steam wallet top-ups they earned through legitimate reward sites. After answering the same questions dozens of times — which sites pay out fastest, which surveys are worth it, which giveaways are real — we decided to centralize the answers in one place.
Editorial Focus
Everything we publish falls into one of four buckets: active giveaways with verified entry pages, reward platforms we have personally tested, Steam-specific deal alerts, and how-to guides for redeeming and securing gift card codes. We do not publish generator tools, key dumps, or anything that promises something for nothing — those are scams, full stop.
Who Writes Here
Our small editorial team is made up of long-time Steam users who have been buying, gifting, and trading on the platform since before the Big Picture era. We collectively hold libraries that range from indie-only to multi-thousand-game collections, so we have a soft spot for both AAA launches and tiny experimental gems.
How We Stay Independent
- We sometimes use referral links to reward platforms. When we do, the article will say so plainly at the top.
- Referral revenue never determines a positive review. Several of the platforms we recommend pay us nothing.
- We refuse paid placements, sponsored “reviews,” and any arrangement that would prevent us from publishing a negative finding.
What We Are Not
We are not Valve, we are not Steam, and we cannot directly issue gift cards. We are a fan-run editorial site that points readers toward legitimate third-party programs. If a method ever feels too good to be true, our guides will help you spot the red flags before you hand over an email address or a wallet code.
